Just a quick Mattie update--We're still in the hospital. Last night she was put in Moderate Care (it's the step in between a regular hospital stay and ICU) because she was really struggling breathing and was really congested. We're in this tiny "isolation" room with constant monitoring and increased oxygen. Mattie now has an IV and a feeding tube (breast feeding was becoming challenging with her breathing) and seems to be stable-- the Cardiologist thinks that this shouldn't affect the condition of her heart and timing of her heart surgery this summer. The doctors seem to think that this really is something that needs to just "run its course". Hopefully we've seen the worst of this virus...
On a more comical note, she keeps ripping her tubes out. She will do anything she possibly can to wrangle her hands free from the swaddle to find those damn tubes. Just proof that this cute little girl is in fact part Ken and part Lisa-- feisty as can be :)
