Two Recliners.....Side by each.

This is a story of two recliners, what feels like a hundred episodes of 2 and a Half Men, a blackberry and two people a far cry from playing shape.
At the wedding this summer-- much closer to playing shape here than we are now :)

As many of you know, my dad slipped on some ice outside of Schembechler Hall last weekend and demolished his knee-- his quad ripped away from his knee cap and this Tuesday he had to have surgery. It was a much rougher surgery than they thought (or he's getting weak with his age :)), and he's finally starting to feel a little bit better. Today, he and Grannie Annie headed out to our house to hang out for the weekend and recouperate-- a hotel is no place for good recuperation, but sitting in a recliner next to me, surely is!

As a "bed rest" pro, it's nice to have someone else to take it easy with!  And much like me- the Old Coach does not know how to sit still.  For the last 8 hours, we have sat in two recliners, side by each,  owning "bed rest". In the last 8 hours we have eaten a bag of black licorice (our favorite), watched a bad action movie & about 15 episodes of 2 and a Half Men, programmed his new blackberry, texted everyone in his contacts to let them know of his new number, tried to set up his voicemail, yelled at the automated voicemail lady for mocking us when we couldn't set up his voicemail, finally set up his voicemail, responded to texts, wrote a ton of recruiting letters, and shared an order of Chicken Lo Mein.  A pretty productive (and healthy)  Friday if you ask me.

I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings-- I'm hoping Lev's pretzels, a movie marathon, and some of Ann Mattison's famous dips-- we've requested famous ketchup dip, pizza dip and buffalo chicken dip! As my dad and I sit in two recliners, side by each, we'll worry about "playing shape" another day :)
